The Tower offers a panoramic view of the Ashley National Forest and surrounding area. From it, an observer has a 360 degree view of the virtually uninhabited northeastern slope of the Uinta Mountain Range. Volunteers are responsible for educating visitors on its history, the use of the Osborne Fire Finder, answering questions about the area, and doing light upkeep of the tower. The tower is staffed Thursday-Sunday from 10am-4pm, Memorial through Labor Day. Forest Service will provide all supplies and equipment necessary to do the work. RV site (full hookups) and other lodging options available. Laundry facilities included. Daily per diem and official mileage reimbursement provided.
