Invasive Plant Removal Volunteers assist park staff with the identification and removal of non native and invasive plant species from park grounds. This work helps protect native ecosystems, preserve historic landscapes, and support overall resource management efforts. Volunteers will work outdoors and may operate hand tools under staff supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identify invasive plant species and distinguish them from native plants after training
Remove invasive plants by hand pulling, digging, or cutting as appropriate
Safely use hand tools provided by the park
Carry and move removed plant material to designated disposal areas
Follow all safety guidelines and resource protection standards
Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers
