Want to help visitors discover their next adventure? We are looking for applicants with a passion for Whiskeytown and community engagement to share the wonders of Whiskeytown with our park visitors!
Main Goals for Position:
Volunteers work with Whiskeytown National Recreation Area’s Interpretation and Education team to connect with visitors through pop-up interpretive exploration centers at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center.
Major Duties:

Position will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from Memorial Day (May) to Labor Day (September).
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Training:
Whiskeytown Interpretation and Education Rangers will provide all training and support necessary for volunteers to be successful.
Physical Demands:
Moderate physical effort is required for this position. There will be some lifting and moving of programming supplies.
Work Environment:
Various outdoor settings in Whiskeytown National Recreation area. Volunteers should be prepared to conducting programming in a range of weather including cold rain and high heat. Seasonal position, operating from late spring to early fall.
