- The Park is looking for motivated individuals that can assist our staff with basic maintenance and projects. Cumberland Island consists of 35000 acres and several historic/maintained landscapes. There are over 50 miles of trails and numerous historic buildings and ruins that require maintenance.
- We are looking for individuals who can assist with cleaning, carpentry, vehicle maintenance, trail/grounds maintenance, painting, and other tasks. Non-local Volunteers will be provided housing on the island with access to laundry facilities on the island. Housing options on island for non-local volunteers. No Pets. Furnished house, private bedroom, shared living area on beautiful remote Cumberland Island. Volunteers in housing are required to work 32 hours a week to maintain their position and we ask for a one to three month term. Individuals need to take direction well and be task oriented. Previous training with UTV/ATV is beneficial.
- Note: Weather can be extremely warm in the summer. For safety outdoor work may be limited during this time and work may focus more inside including cleaning, painting, etc.
