The Park is looking for motivated individuals that can assist our staff with basic maintenance and projects. Cumberland Island consists of 35000 acres and several historic/maintained landscapes. There are over 50 miles of trails and numerous historic buildings and ruins that require maintenance.

We are looking for individuals who can assist with cleaning, carpentry, vehicle maintenance, trail/grounds maintenance, painting, and other tasks. Non-local Volunteers will be provided housing on the island with access to laundry facilities on the island. Housing options on island for non-local volunteers. No Pets. Furnished house, private bedroom, shared living area on beautiful remote Cumberland Island. Volunteers in housing are required to work 32 hours a week to maintain their position and we ask for a one to three month term. Individuals need to take direction well and be task oriented. Previous training with UTV/ATV is beneficial.

Note: Weather can be extremely warm in the summer. For safety outdoor work may be limited during this time and work may focus more inside including cleaning, painting, etc.
