Eager to do moor volunteering this autumn?
Our partners Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail could use your help cleaning up garbage from this recreational oasis! Despite its name, it's not actually an island, but rather a haven for boating, fishing, and strolling along scenic pathways. Yet, with so much activity on its shores, there's always litter left behind that can contaminate the Potomac River for all who depend on it.
If this opportunity floats your boat, meet the Friends near the triangular Mount Vernon Trail intersection at 10:00 AM to receive equipment and instructions. Sunscreen is highly recommended, and please dress for October weather.
Hoist your sails and sign up to join at the button below & on the Friends' website!
